Everybody Scream, It's All Hallow's Eve!

My favorite day in the whole wide world is finally here and I just don't even have the words to express my joy at this moment.

I will be watching Halloween (1978) and handing out candy tonight. My goal is to make 10 children cry, scream or run away from my house. Challenge accepted. Nice.

I will leave you with a spooktacular playlist I've been listening to on repeat. I can't wait to show everyone my creepy decorated  house tomorrow. And to eat all the leftover candy.

Happy Halloween you bootiful witch bitches.

Before you do anything, press play below.

I can honestly say I would not be the person I am today if it were not for Harry Potter. At the tender age of 10 years old, I unknowingly began a lifelong journey. My life began with the Sorcerer's Stone but it did not end with The Deathly Hallows. No, Harry Potter lives on in my heart even today.

It defined my adolescence and possibly even shapes my adult life. I learned some of the most important lessons in the pages of those books. You can hate on HP all you want (but don't because it's awesome) but I'm a better person because of J.K. Rowling.

I want to share the most important things I took away from the books.

The Weasley's taught me that family means everything.

And Sirius taught me that family doesn't have to be blood.

Fred & George taught me to laugh through the hard times.

The Malfoy's taught me that money can't buy happiness.

Gilderoy Lockhart taught me the importance of keeping your ego in check.

Hermione taught me not to be ashamed to be smart.

Luna Lovegood taught me that it's okay to be different.

The Dementors taught me to fight my own darkness and I have the power to overcome it.

I learned the importance of going to the bathroom in pairs.

Rita Skeeter taught me not to believe everything I see in the media.

Harry, Ron & Hermione taught me about loyalty and friendship.

Ginny taught me not to mess with talking diaries.

I learned those we love never truly leave us.

Dobby taught me about sacrifice.

Bill & Fleur taught me that love is deeper than external beauty.

Snape taught me that everyone has a past but there's always room for second chances.

Neville proved that puberty does wonders.

Harry taught me that good will always overcome evil.

I learned that love is the strongest and most important thing of all.

It also gave me one of the greatest ficitonal female characters I could ever aspire to be: Hermione Granger.

She was smart, witty, clever, brave and loyal. She was also unconventionally beautiful.

I still model my life after Hermione's. She was a nerd girls dream. And Emma Watson? She encompasses everything that Hermione is in her own life as well. I want my daughters to grow up knowing her.

I've found that people either love Harry Potter or hate it. Whether it's the books or the movies that are your thing, we can all agree there is something to be learned.

For those who hate it. Mock me all you want, I'm a HP Nerd for life.

Linkup Potterheads, I can't wait to read your posts.

Random Thoughts In My Brain + A Giveaway!

My brain has been all sorts of weird lately. It's running amuck. (Amuck, Amuck, Amuck!)
I can't reel it in either and it flip flops everywhere. Hi brain are you ADD? What's going on?

Just so you can have a little snapshot into what's going on inside my head (you should probably leave now) I made a little listicle of the thoughts that have been floating around the past 24 hours. Don't say I didn't warn you.

1. Why don't people talk on the phone anymore. luh-ame. I want to hear your voice. I want to know your tone. And I want to put you on speaker so I can lay in bed and pretend to be listening instead of trying use my fingers to type.

2. I really love my job. I really like waking up and coming into work. I should really start showering before work.

3. LOL nah.

4. Why isn't our Target as good as the one in Fargo? All I want is everything. Why can't I find it here?

5. WTF who moved the papers on my desk, again? WHERE ARE MY PILES?!

6. I really need to stop buying lunch at Harvey's.

7. I wonder what it would feel like to be stabbed. (thought while watching Halloween) (is this too creepy to share?) (#sorrynotsorry)

8. Is it wrong to be attracted to Michael Myers?

9. I can't wait to make children cry on Halloween. My yard is the bomb diggity.

10. But the chocolate bar says sugar free so that means something right?

11. Go Tyrion, go! Oh my god am I sexually attracted to Tyrion? Hmm that's new. YEAH TYRION YEAH. Come over.

12. Who seriously made up words? Honest to god. How did they come to be? How did we decided that a large metal pointy silver thing was called a sword? Who decided to call it sex? What does that even mean? Why can't Google answer all my questions?

13. I'm making it painfully obvious bro, just ask me out. Don't be a chicken shat. Boys are such twatsicles.

14. Why do Fallon and Rachel have to live so far away?!? #waaaaaaahmbulance

15. THEY LIVE IN FRANCE. AND SHE'S SCOTTISH. THESE ACCENTS ARE ALL WRONG! get your ish together Reign! #theCWproblems

Anyway, don't forget to linkup your Harry Potter posts tomorrow. I can't wait to read them all!! :)

Pumpkin Carving & Other Shenans

Short and sweet today my dears.

This weekend was a good one. Full of Halloween fun! Unfortunately, I still have my craptastic Blackberry so the pictures that I did end up taking suck. Samsung gods, please send my phone back to me soon :(.

Friday night I went out with my cousin Jamie to Rumor's Comedy Club. I don't know why I don't go more often, it was such a good time! The headliner was Lachlan Patterson who I had never heard of. (Jamie won the tickets). He was actually pretty hilarious.

Apparently he's been on Tosh.0 and The Tonight Show. COOL. The only thing that sucked about it was the drunk hecklers. Really guys? You're in a room of tops 75 people. Shut your pie holes so we can enjoy the show.

Saturday I literally did nothing. I marathoned season 1 of Game of Thrones and read. Seriously, that's it that's all.

Sunday Funday was a pumpkin carving extravaganza! I was elbows deep in glorious pumpkin guts and I've never been happier. My sister, Andrea, Eric and I carved some pretty sweet pumpkins if I do say so myself. CHECK IT!

Eric with a knife in his hand made me a little uncomfortable, especially because he was eerily good at taping up the table with garbage bags...

Andrea's Pumpkin

My Pumpkin

Sarah's pumpkin that she drew sans stencil the talented wench!

I managed to load up on Halloween movies this weekend as well. Halloween (2007), Hocus Pocus, Jeepers Creepers, V/H/S, and The Exorcist.

This week kicks off my insane decorating obsession so get ready to see my house all done up and spooky.

In other news Stacey got a puppy and she is the world's cutest little thing! Everyone meet Lola.

I can't wait for Lola and Brooklyn to meet. I think it will be an explosion of cuteness.

That's it for me guys. How was your weekend? Let me know all about it please and thanks :)
